Tiles of Ireland - Fáilte

The design on each tile shows flowers and foliage picked in the hedgerows around Anita's studio on one day telling a seasonal story of the Irish countryside.

Pressed into the clay the textures of nature are recorded forever. Elements are built out in relief and an Irish word or phrase is imprinted on your tile. These letters are created using a gaelic printer’s type once used by Anitas father and grandfather in their printing business.

A press mould was created in plaster allowing Anita to repeat each tile which is
then fired and finally glazed by hand.

The tiles are stoneware and suitable for outdoors in your garden all year round. 

Each tile is 14cm x 20cm and is presented in an eco friendly, branded box.
