Trim Castle -Textile Art

Trim Castle is a majestic, medieval building in my local town of Trim. Here in the Royal county we are very proud of this beautiful building. If you haven't visited you may have seen it as it once featured in the movie Braveheart!

In this textile piece the castle is reflected in the River Boyne and surrounded by grasses and foliage.

Each piece is made on cotton that is printed with my design and then stitched by machine and by hand. A layer of wadding is added to create a relief effect after stitching.
